I'm going to assume that most of you are a bit jaded when it comes to free software for converting your DVD's and other Video files to a format which will work with your Zune. Just from taking a look around here I can see that many have signed up seeming just to post links to their affiliate websites and links for trial software that will only work if you purchase it.

But here I'm going to list a couple programs that are actually free.

The first is from FairUseWizard.com you can check out their site or download their software here, there's even a quick review for the software here. It's completely free but I have to warn you that at the end of the installation you will be asked if you want to install some toolbar, just uncheck the preselected box and this will avoid the toolbar from installing.

Next we have RockPod from Darren over at Techlogg. I haven't used this software but it looks fairly interesting and it too is free. You can take a look at their page here.
