RTHDCPL.EXE - Illegal System DLL Relocation

After installing KB925902, I get error message

"The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not
run properly. The relocation occured because the DLL
C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an adress range reserved for Windows
system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL."

upon boot. Any idea why and how to fix this?

I have installed this fix - but now have another problem - with
Winlogon terminating unexpectedly soon after I log on. Anyone else
seen this?

Richard.

_Both_, KB925902 offerd via WU/MU/AU _and_ KB935448 manually via
DownloadCenter?

Re: RTHDCPL.EXE - Illegal System DLL Relocation

Tried to download the fix KB935448. Goes to Genuine Validation, then tells me error in validating, try again, which I do and it accepts the validation and then I go nowhere. When I try to go back to the fix I have to go through the same procedure and I am left with the error message each time I reboot. Anyone else having this problem?
This all occured because I finally found a fix KB925902 for a problem I have been having not being able to hibernate my machine.

Please retry the download after you've deleted the Temporary
Internet Files and shutted down all opened IE windows.

Re: RTHDCPL.EXE - Illegal System DLL Relocation

I get this same error message on my Notebook PC. I uninstalled the update and the error went away. However, when I booted up this morning I kept getting a message asking me to reboot every 5 minutes or so. I rebooted and the error was back and so was the update. I think MS pushed it onto my machine even though I ignored the icon in the system tray that indicated I had udpates to install.

Ok, so then use the exact same solution. Like you, when I say exact same, I
mean exact same solution.
