background.jpg not displaying

I have an XP1 Pro PC which is not used to often. Just noticed a directory in
Explorer with a BACKGROUND.JPG is not displaying in the view panel when the
directory is opened. Can't figure out for the life of me how to have the JPG
display. Can someone please help?

Thanks
Vic

UPDATE Re: background.jpg not displaying

I just figured out, the 'customize folder WIZARD' does not pop-up when
choosing View, Customize this Folder. What pops up is a Properties menu
which has no option to choose or modify background for the folder.

Can someone explain why the Wizard is not popping up? (the Wizard has
an option to choose or modify background)

TIA
Vic

Re: background.jpg not displaying

Rename it as folder.jpg and set the folder view to Thumbnail.

Re: background.jpg not displaying

Hi Ramesh

You got the answer right away! The PC mentioned has a multi-boot setup
so Win98 or W2K (which has the wizard) were probably used to set folder
backgrounds. I didn't know XP does NOT come with a wizard for that!
(wonder why?)

Thanks for identifying the problem and providing a solution!
