| Data Recovery. Good Day, I initially got two partitions C and D. I reformatted C to re-install Windows XP Professional SP2 and leaving D untouched. Once installation succeed, I can see D drive (my data drive) but no longer can access. I "Accidentally" change the D Logical drive letter (click too fast) and then now I changed it back to D. The error now is I need to reformat it again. I didn't do that cause I still need the data there. May someone PLS HELP. I got very important data there. It's my assignment needed to be submitted on Monday. I have worked months on it :(... Many thanks in advance for your valuable reply with workable solution. I truly appreciate it. |

I think I'd boot with a rescue system such as Knoppix or a Bart's PE and see if the data on the D: drive can be seen . If it can, burn to cd/dvd-r or save to external hard drive. Then boot back into Windows and use Disk Management to format the drive. Copy your data back onto the drive if desired. http://www.knoppix.net http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/ - Bart's PE Builder Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!"
