Did you load the Office 2007 upgrade?
Here's fix for your spell checker.

Re: Outlook express - French spell check??

The spell checker in Office 2007 is not compatible with OE6. Try a free
spell checker instead:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2952

http://www.tinyspell.m6.net/ (checks spelling as you type)

You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in OE6
after you install Office 2007

OE doesn't come with spell check - that's your first problem.

The second problem is bigger: you are asking in the wrong group.

Notice Outlook Express is not in this group's title.

Outlook Express does NOT come with a spiel chucker.

From Outlook Express HELP:
"Outlook Express uses the spelling checker provided with the following
Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft
PowerPoint. If you do not have one of these programs installed, the Spelling
command is not available."

Re: Outlook express - French spell check??

Hi Scully,

I noticed you mentioned the Australian settings.

The following site has a free spell check program for Outlook Express.

http://www.justlocal.com.au/clients/oooau/

For Australians, that is colour/organise instead of color/organize, the patch also needs to be run after the program is installed.

I hope this helps.
