Unable to adjust brightness

when I go into my settings where I change brightness settings for my laptop
in certain scenarios, the area that controls brightness is grayed out and
doesn't allow me to modify anything. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Yeah... are you trying to do that without an external power source
being connected??

If so, your computer is merely trying to save you some battery power.

Yeah, but I'm curious if I can re-adjust it to even lower settings to make
the battery last just a little bit longer. Thanks for your quick response!

Most laptops have a brightness control keys on the keyboard for
adjusting the backlight power level. looks like a sun or a light.

Re: Unable to adjust brightness

Not to worry, sometimes we just look in the wrong place the first time.
