Outlook Express 6 share files XP home + Vista Home Prem

Hi
I have a customer using XP home MCE on a laptop and Vista home Premium on a
desktop. They connect to the internet and a single POp3 email account through
a switch to adsl, hardwired for the laptop and wireless for the laptop.

They want to be able to pick up email on either PC but also to keep their
email accounts, contacts etc in sync whenever both PCs are are on and
connected to the switch.

Using web mail would be an easy solution but they would prefer not to.

I guess this must be be a very common scenario today, how should we go about
it?

Thanks
Crummo

Forwarded to OE General and Windows Mail newsgroups via crosspost.

On both machines: Enable the option to leave messages on the mail server.

On one machine: Enable the option to delete messages from the server after X
number days so the account doesn't exceed its limit.

Thanks for the info, this will at least allow both inboxes to receive same
info.

I now just need to see how to sync contacts on each pc and possibly sent
emails and filed emails.

In Vista, emails are individual eml files that you can drag and drop from
Explorer into an OE or WinMail folder. You can save the eml files from OE
and drag them and drop them into WinMail also.

My OEX program makes it a bit easier to synchronize between the two message
stores. See www.oehelp.com/OEX/

Thanks
