Downgrading from Vista x64 to XP Pro x64

How do I obtain valid CD KEY ???? The one from Vista doesn't work, and the
guys from the MS support don't know hell what I'm talking about....
Is there a Microsofts Key transformer ??? They told me to download the XP
x64 ver from the internet, and now when it comes to activating those
windows, they told me to obtain a valid key how ever I can.... like
everybody's using a x64 version...
If anyone has a valid key, please send it to me.....

You obtain a valid key by purchasing the that particular
software product. There is no point in asking other people
for a key: After the product is registered, the key is tied
to that particular PC and cannot be used on any other PC.

You have to be joking, right? You can't download XP x64 unless through
TechNet, and if you have a subscription for that, then you can also get a
key for it. No one is going to give you a valid key.

Re: Downgrading from Vista x64 to XP Pro x64

Did you read what i wrote ???? According to windows downgrade chard I HAVE A
RIGHT TO INSTALL WIN XP PRO x64 as a DOWNGRADE from Windows Vista x64 (which
I have purchused).. The "smartguys" at MS Support center that I find someone
who'll give me his valid key and that IT DOESN'T MATTER if the key has been
used, as long as it's valid.... Sorry for shouting, but I'm really pissed at
MS...... And another thig.... the IDIOTS at MS support center didn't even
now about Dowgrade rights, so I had to point them to it... So much 4
support..

Re: Downgrading from Vista x64 to XP Pro x64

Unfortunately, while you may consider that you have a right to downgrade, MS
don't see it that way.

Also, downloading an XP CD via BitTorrent is not striclty legal.

As I've been pointing-out for some time, the lowdown is that anyone buying
a new computer now needs to think about this aspect before parting with their
cash. -Does it come with Vista, and if so is Vista suitable for my
requirements?

Reason peope don't forsee this problem is that in pre-XP days, the option to
downgrade was taken for granted. Now with WPA it is no longer possible, or at
least not without using pirate methods.

The legal aspects of using an older version of licensed software will vary
from region to region. Here in the UK I believe it's officially sanctioned by
the governing bodies (don't quote me on this, I'm no legal expert) but not
by Microsoft. Even so, you should not for example replace Vista Basic with XP
Pro, you may only use like for like.

No, I don't believe it.
Buy the product properly and the key will be yours. Stop taking the piss
and get your plastic out.

By purchasing a legitimate license.

No, of course not.

Why should they? There's never been a supported downgrade path, nor
has the Product Key for one OS ever worked for another.

Who is "they?" Not that it matters, as there are no legitimate
downloads of Microsoft operating systems.

No, I don't believe that, at all.

.... so long as you already have a valid license/Product Key and
installation media to use, yes.

That's not even a little bit believable, because it's completely wrong.
And no one is going to give you his/her license.

Sorry but what you write I find hard to believe. You have to own a copy of
XP Pro x64 for downgrade rights. Why in the world would you download a
possibly cracked version?
