Windows insists on putting my computer on standard time

I upgraded my OS from Win XP Home to Win XP Pro with SP2 today. I had the
new DST patch installed before. Of course, the upgrade uninstalled it.
Then it moved my clock BACK, and messed up my appointments.

I installed the standard 73 you have to do when you install an OS. The
computer still thinks its on standard time. I went to the MS site to
download the patch. It will not install because a newer version of the
patch is already installed (but apparently not working).

I know I cannot just change the clock. It will mess up my appointments even
further, and then when the old DST switch day comes, it will mess them up
again.

Please tell me how to get my computer on DST. Help!

Linda

Got it!

I found the update with the same number as the DST patch and uninstalled it.
Restarted. Then ran the patch. This time it put me on DST, and fixed my
appointments. Phew!
