I have just bought visual studio 2005 pro. Im starting a course in the fall
where I need to know c++, java & visual basic. I already know some visual

Start Visual Studio 2K5.
It should open to its Start Page, if not there should be a Start Page tab to click to
bring it to the front.
On the left side in Getting Started you will find what you need.

I think you asked in a non optimal newsgroup.

If you look on amazon and look at the books then you see reviews. I
recall C++ primer plus being a highly recommended one.
