HI .. Sorry if this subject is not allowed on the newsgroup, but I need help.

On a Toshiba Satellite Laptop, Linskys is on, wireless is on, when I press
fn + f8 which has the wireless logo on, it tells me to ...... Turn the
communication switch on !

But I can't seem to find the switch, and can;t find the user manual

any help would be most welcome .........

Try here:

With the laptop open, on the left side of computer (not the keyboard), at
the front, you may find a little slider switch. Try there. (at least, that's
where it's located on my wife's toshiba).

I have a P105-S6114. Switch is on front edge to right of earphone jack
and volume knob. It is black and small, kinda hard to see, lluminates
orange when on.

Some are also on the right side near the front. Small slider with orange
LED.

The user manual is normally on the hard disk. Look in the Start Menu
for a folder called Documentation - that's where I found mine.

My Satellite P20 has the radio switch on the left hand side towards
the rear (the hinge). When it is "on" an orange light comes on on the
left hand side of the keyboard next to a "wireless' logo.
