HP all-in-one scanners

I'm running windows xp 2 and my problem lies with the scanner in the HP
all-in-one printer. Everytime I try to scan something using HP's software I
get an error message saying "No scan options", however I am able to scan
using windows picture and scan wizard.

I've called HP for help and they've sent me new software, did every
uninstall imaginable, and I still can't scan using HP's software.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Re: HP all-in-one scanners

Perhaps it's related to the HP software and IE7 incompatiblities.

You didn't mention the name of the software, but try this:

Run the scanner software, click File, look for an option to "Select
Source". Select the scanner, and that will be the default device till
you change it. There may be a different way to select the scan device.
With HP Director (which I don't use), there's an option to select a
different device at the top of the window.
