| Re: Transferring data from "C" drive to empty "D" drive In news:4E868390-2AB3-4941-B379-E46AB097BE41@microsoft.com, Allan Uwins <Allan Uwins@discussions.microsoft.com> typed: > How you transfer the files to the "D" drive to give the "C" drive > more space? Simple I know but I can not find this subject in the help > files. That depends on what you mean when you say "the files". You can't just move everything. You can move your data (for example, you can go to the properties of My Documents and point it at the D drive, such as d:\data\myname ). You can uninstall some programs and reinstall them to d:\program files. You can move your pagefile. Etc. You might also run disk cleanup (don't compress old files if prompted) to do a bit of housekeeping.,...TreeSize Pro is my favorite utility for finding out what's hogging up all the space. |
