Most programs missing from All Programs list

Yesterday things were normal. Today I went to open a program and all that my
All Programs list contains are programs installed yesterday. (New computer,
still trying to finish setting up.)

What the heck happened to everything else I'd installed?

Hmmm. Nope.

The quick fix didn't correct it and the rest is more complicated than I'm
prepared to deal with. Playing with the registry is more than I bargained
for. Thanks for your time on this. I will have to call in the experts on
Monday.

Hi,

Have you tried a System Restore? This would put the Registry back the
way it was.

Not yet. I will read up on that and see if it works. The great thing about
computers is I'm always learning something -- getting out of my comfort zone.
Thanks for your help.
