system freeze

System will freeze during operation. No consistent point where error occurs,
just at random. What can I do to prevent this from happening?

RE: system freeze

as I try to use word/excel, or print, or navigate the internet, my computer
at some point will stop responding (freeze at whatever point I am at). The
only way to continue is to restart my computer and start over until I can
complete my task.
