| Manual uninstall or force uninstall I have a trial version of Quickbooks Premier installed on my computer. I bought Quickbooks Pro and now am trying to uninstall Premier. The problem is using Add/Remove Programs, it keeps trying to open the setup wizard which won't open (says it was incomplete). I just want to remove the program. Is there a way to bypass add/remove programs and do it manually? I've already searched for an uninstall file in the appropriate directory but couldn't find one. I also tried creating a batch file running install -u or setup -u but could get either to work. Thanks in advance! Alec |

| Re: Manual uninstall or force uninstall Sometimes you can just reinstall the original program to the same dir/folder or do a repair, then use add remove programs to uninstall it properly.. You'll need your original programs setup disk..? Using the Windows Installer Clean Utility won't remove the program. It will deal with windows installer issues related to that program but the files and registry settings will still be there, so you should first try to uninstall it by contacting Intuit. -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell] |
