Installation of Winfax Pro 10.3

Hello all,
Need some help. I've been using the Winfax basic edition v10.0 with some
success for a while now, though now it won't accept a change of phone number
(the whole program closes as soon as you try!) So have now bought the Pro
version......but can't install the thing! Have uninstaled the old, checked
the Symantec site, to no avail. Everthing seems to go well right through to
the configuration but then it just hangs up with a window with Winfax Pro in
the top corner. I have to re-start to get out of it and sure enough there is
no listing in the programs. If I try to install again it says there is a
version already installed, and yes, it's there in the Add/Remove programs
ready to be uninstalled again.
Help please.

Why not e-mail or use Live Help for this application from Symantec
themselves?

Try This if running XP SP2:

Go into Control Panel/Regional & Language
Options/Languages/Details/Advanced. Under System Configuration, place a
check mark to Turn OFF Advanced text services.

Worked for me.

Re: Installation of Winfax Pro 10.3

Well, I got it sorted in the end. Turned out , that right at the end of the
installation process there were 3 applications running and 1 not responding.
All I did was end task on the still running but not visible registration
window, and hey presto, all came back to normal. Now i'm a happy (if not so
knowledgeable) computer user again :-) Thanks for the responses.
