I.E.6.xxx PRIVACY OPTION

Hi, WIN XP HOME

I go to IE 6.xxx, then to INTERNET OPTIONS, click on PRIVACY, and
set it to DEFAULT.

It absolutely refuses to hold as such, but reverts to CUSTOM every
time. This happens even when I don't restart and during the same
session.

Help please?

ThanX

Mike

This whole ciuntry is filled with apathy; but who cares anyway!

Well First you are in the wrong Group you should post to the IE6 newsgroup
to get most useful answers and to in the right direction.

Now do you have an Anti-Virus that you can configure to keep your settings
on the IE, if Yes then go to the Configuration page options/Control panel
and change
it to allow such a settings.
If you have Ad-Aware and set to Ad-watch it will prevent these changes or
other Anti-Spyware that can block you from doing changes to your IE settings,
so go to that Application Configuration Option control panel and do the
appropriate changes to allow you to achieve what you want on the IE settings.
HTH.

Re: I.E.6.xxx PRIVACY OPTION

Options/settings in several third-party applications may be disallowing the
change(s) from "sticking". These include Ad-aware's Ad-Watch, Spybot Tea
Timer, SpywareBlaster, SpySweeper, Norton AntiVirus, McAfee VirusScan and/or
Antispyware, and Zone Alarm (Free and Pro).
