| Root Certificate Install Issue I'm pretty sure this is a known issue but the MS support site and the internet have not provided an answer. A couple of computers on our network keep wanting to install the following: Update for Root Certificates [September 2009] (KB931125) Checking our server the release date for this specific update is Sept. 22, 2009. Both PCs are XP Pro with one running IE 7 the other IE 8. I've seen suggestions of denying it and installing a more recent root cert update but I don't believe I have one. Any suggestions? MS "Custom" update now offers the November update: Update for Root Certificates [November 2009] (KB931125 After installing this, I did another "Custom" search and no other Root certificate update was offered. Hopefully this has solved the problem. |
