| Erratic Behavior after removal of McAfee Hi: I tried to 'Shut-down,' pressining 'Start' button at the far left corner after removal of McAfee. There is 'flash' several times and I need to forcibly shut-down the PC by pressing 'button' of the PC. That happened after 'un-install' McAfee. I need to forcibly shut-down the PC by pressing 'button' of the PC. Even I can not open any program because PC does not accept 'cursor' to do any task, as if there is no cursor/mouse. Upon starting PC, asking which one to start, 'CD/DVD, 'Flash Drive,' and the like. After pressing 'Enter' button several times, the PC start normally. Seems to me that 'McAfee-removal' took away 'dll' which needs to operate the PC by using the mouse/cursor. How to remedy this issue and normalize the PC as did before? Thanks for any help in advance. |

| Re: Erratic Behavior after removal of McAfee What anti-virus application is installed now? Was your McAfee subscription still current when you uninstalled it or had it expired? Did you also download/run the McAfee removal tool *before* you installed your new anti-virus application? -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Client - since 2002 www.banthecheck.com Cosmos69 wrote: > Hi: > I tried to 'Shut-down,' pressining 'Start' button at the far left corner > after removal of McAfee. > There is 'flash' several times and I need to forcibly shut-down the PC by > pressing 'button' of the PC. > > That happened after 'un-install' McAfee.
