| start menu and clock have disappeared I had a power outage the of course turned my computer off. When i turned it back on the start menu was missing as well as everything else on that task bar at the bottom of the screen. I re booted several times as well as used the restore tool to no affect. It seems that everything got lowered off the screen because I get pop ups from some of the programs that I have set up, which is normal . I just cannot see the task bar that the items are on. I have xp sp3. Other than a little bit of a lag my windows works great. Anyone have any ideas |

| Re: start menu and clock have disappeared Check your screen resolution, Some Wide Screen displays when set to the wrong resolution will result in the task bar being located below the bottom of the screen. Sometimes moving the mouse along the bottom edge will activate some tasks bar pop ups, proving the taskbar is still there but off the screen. -- JS http://www.pagestart.com "jfs112862" <jfs112862@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:5828C369-C2B0-46AF-8B13-6966B90D5D1C@microsoft.com... >I had a power outage the of course turned my computer off.
