| Re: Two CD Drives??? you might try looking at the devices/ hardware via control panel system. where you might find a driver installed for the cd and another for the dvd. I would try to uninstall or disable the one for the cd. incidentally, make a system restore point before you do make changes to your system. -- db·´¯`·...¸><)))º> DatabaseBen, Retired Professional - Systems Analyst - Database Developer - Accountancy - Veteran of the Armed Forces - ********.com - nntp Postologist ~ "share the nirvana" - dbZen ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > > "Willard" <guess@msn.invalid> wrote in message news:eHjQWGzXKHA.5368@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > Dell VOSTRO 1510 (with only one CD slot), WinXPproSP2 > My Computer shows: > DVD/CD-RW Drive (D)....CD Drive > CD Drive (E).....................CD Drive > > click on (D) is o.k. > click on (E) "Insert disk in (E)" > > Device Manager shows only one DVD/CD-Rom Drive > > How can I delete the (E) CD drive??? |
