Exactly what do you mean by "seems like"? What files are they? How do you know they are corrupt? What is the nature of the corruption, if you know? If you get an error message telling you about the problem, please provide it here, verbatim. Since there is a possibility that whatever corruption you have, it was caused by malware infection, please also tell us what anti-virus and anti-spyware programs you run, and whether you keep them up-to-date. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) since 2003 Please Reply to the Newsgroup |

| Re: Repair Corrupt Files you can determine if you have corrupted system files by booting into safe mode. if windows performance is better in safe mode than in normal mode, then it is unlikely you have missing or corrupted system files. instead there is something installed that is corrupting your system, which is not the same as saying that the system has corrupted system files. -- db·´¯`·...¸><)))º> DatabaseBen, Retired Professional - Systems Analyst - Database Developer - Accountancy - Veteran of the Armed Forces - ********.com - nntp Postologist ~ "share the nirvana" - dbZen ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > > "S1L1Y1" <s1l1y1******.com> wrote in message news:udpITauXKHA.1280@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > It seems like I have some corrupt window xp files. Depending on how you PC is set up, you may need to have your Windows install disc handy. -- Roy Smith Windows XP Pro SP3 |
