WE view setting keeps changing from Icons to List

I have a number of WE windows I use to hold/sort program icons, like the
old "Program Manager". Periodically, the view setting will change from
"Icons" to List". This isn't the "Tools/Folder options/view/apply to
all folders" dialog. I've had this happen several times before, I have
to increase some setting someplace to accommodate the fact that I've
added additional icons, but I can't for the life on me remember what
that setting is! Can someone refresh my memory?

TIA

Dan

Bernd - That's not how I've taken care of the problem in the past, I'm
certain, since the value "Max Cached Icons" had to be added, but we'll
see if setting it to 2000 as the article suggests does the trick, thanks
for the tip!

Interesting site, BTW.

Unfortunately, the registry edit did not do the trick. Icons view still
changing back to list view. If anyone can tell me what that other
setting is, I'd sure appreciate it.
