Password Question

For last year, when booting up, the password screen comes up and I type in
my password, hit enter and windows comes up.

This morning, no password screen and windows just comes up. Shut down the
computer and rebooted and same thing.

Anybody have an idea as to why I lost password protection?

Thanks

Re: Password Question

Click Start, Run, type in control userpasswords2
Is there a checkmark in the box "Users must enter a user name and password..."?

Re: Password Question

Well, that is strange then, because that should be the control point. You might try removing the checkmark, rebooting, then adding the mark back.
