| RE: Computer starts only by pressing F1 I don't think this is the exact message. If this is the message that you are receiving at the POST [First Screen when you turn on your PC] then it could be because of Bad or Low CMOS battery. Try replacing the CMOS cell. Easily located at your motherboard. Hope this help, let us know! -- * Tip of The Day * Extending Taskbar in 2 Rows can be useful, if you want to see Date along with Time. | RE: Computer starts only by pressing F1 Generally when a computer tells you to press F1 to start - it's because you have "Stop on error" selected in the BIOS. So, the fix would be to find out what the error is (usually it's on the screen just before the F1 message and fix it. - John "Hamed" wrote: > Hi all, > > When i turn on my computer, it says ""'PRESS F1 TO START""" is there > anyway i cant start my windows without pressing "F1" everytime??? > > thanks in advance... > > |
