Standby- does not wake up.

Until a couple of days ago I had no problem waking my Win XP, Sp-2 with the
keyboard or the mouse.
Now it will not wake up at all and the only thing that I can do is press the
power button to shut down and then re-start.
Any idea what my have caused this sudden change?
