display settings lost

Anytime Windows Installer is run, I restart the system, and at times when I
exit explorer and iexplorer, the display settings on my computer are lost and
revert to a blue background and no screen saver. This has been happening for
the last month and I have no idea what was processing when it started since I
am not the only user. I am using Windows XP SP3 and current with updates.

RE: display settings lost

I would suggest your video drivers are corrupt and you need to download and
install new video adapter drivers, for your system.
