| Re: can I use professional OEM edition windows xp CD to install with home oem edition product key? Hi, No. You must use Windows XP Home CD so you can enter the product key from the sticker. It is also important that the CD is OEM product. No. Product Keys and Installation CDs must match each other with regard to: - Windows XP Edition (Home, Pro, Tablet, Media Center) - Windows XP Version (Retail Upgrade, Retail Full Install, OEM, Volume License, Value Pack, etc.) - Language. A difference in any one of these items will result in the Product Key being rejected as invalid. Ron Martell Duncan B.C.
