| IE 8 Shutting Down I have a problem with IE 8 shutting down. It seems like it only happens when I am going through my Comcast E-mail. Not sure if it is a comcast issue or a IE 8 issue. Would be interested to hear if anyone else has experienced this problem and if anyone might have an answer about what to do. Sure is annoying. Thanks........Jim |

| Re: IE 8 Shutting Down IE8 seems to shutdown or hang when there is an add-in that worked with IE7 but does not work with IE8. | Re: IE 8 Shutting Down Hello, Try running IE8 with add-ons disabled. Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) to start IE8 without any add-ons. Try using the browser and see if the same problem arises. If the problem does not occur again, start IE8 normally, go to Tools (if the menu bar does not appear, hit the Alt key on the keyboard) > Manage Add-ons. Disable all the add-ons under 'Toolbars and Extensions'. Enable each add-on one at each time and see if the problem occurs again. Once it occurs again after enabling an add-on, you have nailed the culprit. __ http://www.bootstrike.com/ComputerService/ Singapore Computer Home Remote On-Site Repair Service "jimf1954" <jimf1954@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1E3EA89D-C08C-4FDD-9940-6DA4F40DDF98@microsoft.com... >I have a problem with IE 8 shutting down.
