email client won't open after resizing pictures

after selecting one or more pictures to be emailed i'm asked if i want to
resize them,
i agree to this and it appears to perform this, but instead of opening my
email (thunderbird), it just stays at the windows picture and fax viewer
screen.
any help would be appreciated.

Is MS Office (or MS Outlook) 2003 also installed and did you recently
install any Outlook updates?

The date and time was Monday, June 29, 2009 9:45:00 AM, and on a whim,
bruce pounded out on the keyboard:

Hi Bruce,

Make sure TB checks to make itself the default (Tools, Options, under
System Defaults). Also check "Set Program Access & Defaults" in
Windows. MS has a way with resetting the mail client when updates are
installed.

Report back,

Did this work before?

Read this:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Resize_images

You could try a System Restore if you remember when it worked last. Not
the best fix, but it may help you monitor any further updates that may
have hosed the feature.

In TB, Tools, Options, Advanced, Update. Uncheck the options.

I use the Powertoy Image Resizer. You may want to Google and see if it
works for you.
