| Notification message links do not work! I recently posted a question to one of the Windows XP newsgroups, and asked to be notified of replies. I received notification of a reply, which included two links "Read and rate the response" and "click this link to continue receiving notifications for this thread". Neither of the links worked! They just produced a blank page which said it was done loading. This was true both in IE 6 under Windows XP Professional and in IE 8 under Windows Vista Business. WHY? -- Ian |

| Re: Notification message links do not work! CDO - Collaboration Data Objects??? What has this to do with my problem? What should I check with them? I have 5 cdo*.dll files with Crystal reports, MS Shared Files, Live Search Maps for Outlook, Office 10, and in System32 respectively, plus a copy of the System32 one in the dll cache and 4 others that relate to updates or uninstalls. -- Ian "Kelly" wrote: > Check with CDO: Microsoft CDO for Windows 2000 > > -- > > All the Best, > Kelly (MS-MVP/DTS&XP) > > Taskbar Repair Tool Plus! > http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/taskbarplus!.htm > > > "Ian" <Ian@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:9218C756-FA7E-4737-AE7B-CA934F028188@microsoft.com... > >I recently posted a question to one of the Windows XP newsgroups, and asked > > to be notified of replies. > > I received notification of a reply, which included two links "Read and > > rate > > the response" and "click this link to continue receiving notifications for > > this thread". | Re: Notification message links do not work! That clunky web-interface is notorious for such frustrating behavior. Access the newsgroups via your default newsreader instead: Setting up Outlook Express to access Microsoft newsgroups http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/ou...snewreader.htm -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Client - since 2002 Ian wrote: > I recently posted a question to one of the Windows XP newsgroups, and > asked > to be notified of replies. > I received notification of a reply, which included two links "Read and > rate > the response" and "click this link to continue receiving notifications for > this thread".
