| Windows offline folders sync issue Hi Windows offline folders work very well except uunder the following condition. Once I have plugged the laptop into windows 2003 domain and logged in the windows sync takes places correctly and the little icon disappears, But if the cable for example gets disconnected or I lost connectivity then the Icon appears and synchronisation stops working even if I put the cable in again. I can get to work by clicking the icon and maually starting it and then it carries on working. My question is is there a way to automatically detect and start the sysnc when I put the cable back even if I dont do it manually. Is there a script to do this which can be run in the background. Hope someone can help. Thanks, Shana |

Are you saying that OF will not reconnect at all after reconnecting the cable? I don't remember that ever being an issue. One way around that is to make sure that OF sync on login and on logout. Then you will be assured it's being done, at least at the end of the day. Terry R. -- Anti-spam measures are included in my email address. Delete NOSPAM from the email address after clicking Reply. |

| Re: Windows offline folders sync issue Thanks for the reply. I have never tried Symantec Agent Backup. I will look into it but I would prefer getting Windows to do it. The answer to your query is the OF stops working if cable removed and added back in again. The only way is to manual force it or logoff and login in again. | Re: Windows offline folders sync issue Thanks for your help. The OF works on logon and logoff and I have found that you can initiate using it using mobsync command in a script if required. Thanks, Shana "Terry R." wrote: > The date and time was Thursday, June 11, 2009 6:40:01 AM, and on a whim, > Shana pounded out on the keyboard: > > > Thanks for the reply. > > > > I have never tried Symantec Agent Backup.
