Items not showing in Recycle Bin

A few months ago, we transferred over files and settings over to a new
computer for a user. However, his Recycle Bin became corrupt. Whenever he
deletes files, the icon for the Recycle Bin ooesn't show that it has items in
it. Even when you explore it, it doesn't show that anything is in it. I
tried running the registry key from Kelly's Corner, but that didn't work.

Any suggestions would be great. Thank you in advance.

Re: Items not showing in Recycle Bin

[[No files may appear in the Recycle Bin if the files in the Recycled folder
are damaged.]]

Run Error Checking. Reboot. Try to empty the Recycle Bin again.

Error Checking (chkdsk.exe).
1. In My Computer or Windows Explorer, right-click the drive you want to
check and then click Properties.
2. On the Tools tab, click Check Now.
3. Select both of these:

o Automatically fix file system errors
o Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors

Then click the Start button.

A message will popup.

[[The disk check could not be performed because the disk check utility needs
exclusive access to some Windows files on the disk. These files can be
accessed only by restarting Windows. Do you want to schedule this disk check
to occur the next time you restart the computer?]]

Click YES.

Then reboot.

You have to reboot for Error-checking to run.

For a look at the chkdisk log.
Open the Event Viewer...
Start | Run | Type: eventvwr | OK
Look in Application | Listed as Information |
