Power Down

I have a laptop running Windows XP Professional SP2. It is running on AC
power. All power options are set to "Never".

When running nothing more than the screen saver and SETI@home the laptop
will sometimes power down. SOmetimes the next day. Sometimes the next
hour.

When this happens, it must be powered back on and sometimes when powering
back on it displays a screen saying Windows is powering down and it then
powers down.

Pressing power on a second time will then bring it up.

How do I correct this behavior?

It could be over heating. While it is off vacuum out all of the vent holes.

Re: Power Down

I encountered another person earlier today with the same problem. I passed
your recommendation on to him also.

I till give your recommendation a try and I should know in a few days if it
solved the problem.

Thank you.
