Suggestion for issue with laptop at two locations?

I have a laptop I use at home and at work.

When I'm at work, I use my home smtp server, and ssh to my home
server. Obviously, I need to ssh / etc to a public name when I'm
connected from work, but when I'm at home, I'd like to be able to use
the LAN IP. Both computers (server and laptop) are connected to the
same WiFi router - the laptop via wireless, the server via ethernet.

So basically, when I say send mail, and use the public host name, and
I'm at home on the router, the server sees me as coming on the WAN
port (ie "connect from 217.XXX.XXX.XXX", not 192.168.X.X.

So is there a way to have a hosts entry only for my wireless LAN
connection ?

Or any other suggestions?

If I didn't explain this well, let me know..

Thanks. :)
