Folder Views

Something changed along the way between Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
When I open a folder in XP with Windows Explorer, the columns change to
music-specific columns instead of standard file detail columns. For
example, Date Modified disappears. Even though I can right click on the
header and cause the column to appear, the change is not permanent.

Where is a description of these changes? How do I cause everything to
show up as standard files? How can I cause the Date Modified column to
always appears?

Thanks!
