| Please help - I need a good application for tracking employee browsing and aplpication usage in Windows XP Hello, My boss wants me to install tracking software for employee PC usage. He wants to know what web pages they go to and what applications are being used and at what time. I know that they use about 3 browsers, not just IE. The only tracking software I've found only lists IE history. I could use your help finding something as I've never had to do this before and the owner of the company wants it installed immediately. I've searched and searched - most applications I've found seem to be ma and pop apps that don't have much detail. Thank you! |

There do seem to be an overwhelming call for monitoring applications targeted at parents. No surprise there. I would suggest to spend more time on Google. This application looks like it might be just what you need as it seems to do all that anyone would want. http://www.software4parents.com/iamb...ml?hop=ucndoit |

To the OP: if you're in a workgroup, and don't use a proxy server/application server/etc., I'm not sure what your options are, outside of installing keylogging software on all the workstations. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...ows+xp+reports may help get you started. (but I do agree that this boss probably needs to have more fiber in his diet....if employees are getting their work done on time, who cares if they periodically visit Google Images to check out pictures of kittens?) |

| Re: Please help - I need a good application for tracking employee browsing and aplpication usage in Windows XP Thank you for your suggestion - like the others I've seen, it doesn't mention any browsers besides IE but I'll send them an e-mail to find out if it does. | Re: Please help - I need a good application for tracking employee browsing and aplpication usage in Windows XP Thanks - I appreciate the help - I'll see if I can find something. While I hate to do this to anyone, I have to agree some employees are abusing computer priveleges and not completing work in a timely manner. I'll inform the employees they are being monitored as I would think it is unfair for them not to be aware.
