I find I am unable to download and install KB958687 & KB890830.
I have always been able to get updates in the past with no probleams and as
far as I know I have changed nothing in my set up.
Has any1 else had this problem or do they know of a possible reason why I
have thismproblem

My guess is that it is because you are running Windows 98.

Download and install from the Windows | Microsoft Update sites or via
Automatic Updates or manually ?

Can you download and *save* KB890830 from here ? -

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

If yes, then run windows-kb890830-v2.6.exe with all programs and
browsers closed.

Thanx for that.
I was able to download and run KB890830 OK.. It found nothing on my PC.
Does this mean I should now be abble to download other updates now ?
When I tried to download the 2 I listed...nothing appeared to come down to
my PC.
Shall I await the next Tuesday automatic update or should I try these 2
again?

BTW...as I corrected ..I have windows XP.
I use Avast and Zonealarm and am pretty confident that I am virus clear.
