Disk utilities

Would those disk utilities like defrag, error checking work on those Solid
State hard disks?

If they work, then is it necessary to run those utilities on SSD?

Charles.

Fragmentation occurs because of the way the file system is utilized, not the
type of hardware it is utilized on.

As for CHKDSK, etc - failure would likely be less gradual on a SSD -
therefore - by the time CHKDSK would find anything, you'd likely have
already noticed.
