Re: PC slowing down

Is this slowness/sluggishness a new condition or has it existed since
the PC was acquired ? Performance tuning is a very precise process.
Anytime you're investigating PC issues one of the 1st things to check
is the Event Logs. If the PC is working with errors in either the System
or Application logs then you've got unresolved issues.
Click Start, Run (Type) EventVwr.Msc [Enter]
Expand each log from the Left pane of the console view and look for
Red Icons in the Right Pane. Double-clicking each will open the details
box and display a brief description and Error ID #.
You can research the numbers here:
http://www.eventid.net/
There are many other things that can cause performance to degrade,
most noticeably Malware infestation.

"Cleaning all the crap out" doesn't give us enough information; tell us
*precisely* what you have done.

This site covers just about all the bases for a slow computer:

"Slow as **** specially on start up" doesn't communicate much either. What
exactly is slow and how slow?
