| Keep user profile after leaving the domain Last year I used domain user account on my notebook. Now I have to leave the domain, and I want to keep all installed programs, registry information etc. -- transfer it to local user account. Is there any conventional way to do this? Thanks Alexander Smirnov |

Yes, I can create new user profile (to be precise, I have one), but the last step in the article you recommended is 'Copy files to new user profile'. Many of my programs will stop working. In general, there's no need to copy anything anywhere. I would merely like to transfer my profile from external domain to local -- rename it or change some links etc. Everything should keep on the place -- I have to change only credentials. |

Which is just as well, because that would probably cause all sorts of problems. > Yes, I can create new user > profile (to be precise, I have one), but the last step in the article you > recommended is 'Copy files to new user profile'.
