Autofill help please

Hello,

I'm not sure if anyone can help but I have a problem with windows
autofilling passwords etc, it always used to but recently stopped and I have
not been able to find out where to turn it on again.
I use windowsXP and the only recent change was upgrading to the internet
explore7.

Now when I go to favourite webpages like for example Ebay, where I had drop
down list in the id box where I could click and it would automatically enter
my password, it no longer does.

Hopeing some kind sole can help me here

David

It will be best if you sent your Question to the IE7 NG, but while we at it,
it is the same as IE6.
On IE Properties click on Content Tab and then click on AutoComplete button
and there see if the check bixes for remembering Password, forms, web
Addresses is checked.

Also click on the Advanced Tab and scroll down to this bix and check it.
[ ] Use inline AutoComplete check this bx and click [Apply] and clcik
[OK] and Reboot your machine and see if the passwords, addresses being
remembered.
HTH.
Regs,

Hi nass,

Thanks for the advise but sadly no, it doesn't make any difference. The
check boxes you mentioned were already ticked, including the one in the
advanced tab.
I've been searching around adjusting things there for some time now but it
just doesn't start remembering and doesn't offer to remember passwords in
wondow either.

If you have any other ideas I'd appreciate anything else you can suggest.

Okay, did you clear the Forms and Passwords while on the AutoComplete
Window, if you didn't try it and then go to your General tab and click on
Settings button, look for the Size of your TIF and set the size between 50-80
MBs, close the IE properties and reboot.
If no joy, try the IE7 NG they will be much of help to you, I'm honestly
don't have IE7 yet so I can't just waste your time and give guesses!.
Regards,
nass

Re: Autofill help please

One thing to bear in mind, is that a range of third party internet security
software can, and often does, change and lock various internet explorer
security settings. So, depending on what, if any, third part internet
security software you use, you may have dig into it to discover and gain
control over what it may be doing.

regards, Richard

RE: Autofill help please

Hello nass,

Thanks but sadly this didn't work either, I will do as you suggest and see
if I can find a IE7 forum to post there instead.

Thanks for the assistance anyway

David
