| Windows installer starts installing unwanted update when start computer Hi. Thanks for reading. When I turn on my computer, Windows installer starts installing this update for Microsoft office. When I click cancel, the little "preparing to install" box pops right back up, no matter how many times I click cancel. If I go to the Windows task manager, I can turn Windows installer off. All the same, this glitch is driving me up the wall. Is there any way to get this feature to stop trying to install this update that it won't even let me install since I don't have the original CD to use in conjunction with it? Thank you for your assistance. |
