Lost! Ability to "show"/ "hide" files. TIA

Files-Edit-View-Tools-Help
!
MapNetworkDrive
Disconnect Network Drive
Synchronize
?????
There used to be "tools" or something to allow/dis-allow files
visibility.
I have lost it somewhere. Any & all help gratefully received. TIA
eg: In "My Documents" page I could click on Tools & in the drop-down I
could click another item to go to "view" and a tab to go further to
show/hide highlighted files. After a clean format/re-install of ALL,
this is no longer available. TIA for any help.

Have you tried right-clicking the file(s)>Properties>Check "Hidden"?

That's my problem, Smirnoff. I have no "folder options" in the "tools"
drop-down. :-(
I also have no "Folder Options" in Control Panel. Thanks for a prompt
reply.
