Not Logged on as Administrator

Because I was having problems installing software for my Logitech webcam,
Logitech support was working with me to get the software properly installled.
One of the things they wanted to do was to get a "clean boot". So we went to
msconfig, made some changes in the general tab and then I clicked on "launch
system restore" but I got the following message:

"An access denied error was returned while attempting to change a service.
You may need to log on using an administrator account to make the specified
changes"

I am the administrator and I am in fact the only person using this computer.
I am using Windows XP Pro

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron

It does not matter if you are the administrator or not. What matters is that
you log on under the account called "Administrator". Are you using WinXP
Home or Professional?

Also: What does "System Restore" have to do with the "Clean Boot" requested
by Logitech?
