| XP Home - Can't Type in Login Password Window Within the last month or so I've noticed that after a user logs off of our home PC that we cannot type in the loin password window for any other user. Selecting a user to log in as shows the password window but there is no cursor and it doesn't accept keyboard input (standard PS2 keyboard). If I choose shut down and restart the PC I am then able to login. PC is up to date with all critical XP updates. Thanks. |

If you don't shut down, but rather unplug and plug in the keyboard, does it work then? -Jim |

Does that bring up the login dialog box where the username and password can be entered? If so will that accept text? -- Rock [MVP - User/Shell] |
