| system restore disabled Can someone help please. Task manager, system registry, and system restore are disabled on my pc. I figured I would use system restore to fix, but the check box to re-enable system restore is not highlighted so I can't re-enable. Please help me to re-enable system restore. Any step by step help will be very useful, I will be most grateful. Many thanks. |

| Re: system restore disabled perhaps the lack of the functionality of the system restore feature is also an indicator that your system is experiencing issues in addition to the one(s) you were trying to fix. in this case, i would simply suggest to boot up with your windows xp cd and initiate a repair installation. the method above will replace missing or corrupted system files on the disk with genuine ones from the cd. in addition, after the method above is done, the cd will remove all old restore points and create a brand new one. here is more info on the above: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...ps/doug92.mspx -- db·´¯`·...¸><)))º> DatabaseBen, Retired Professional - Systems Analyst - Database Developer - Accountancy - Veteran of the Armed Forces "blueboy5555" <blueboy5555@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4C86ACFC-8C6B-421D-95E9-EC44C39003B1@microsoft.com... > Can someone help please.
