Is Zone Labs site down?

I tried to go to various Zone labs pages with I.E. today, and I keep getting cannot
display page. (e.g. www.zonelabs.com). I looked at my hosts file and nothing has changed.
Anyone know what the problem might be?

T.C.

They appear to be down, hard. No evidence of any activity online right now,
only cached pages in various locations. No user forum, nothing.

Re: Is Zone Labs site down?

Thank you to all who responded it. It is nice to know that the problem lays NOT with my
system, but is on the other end. Whatever the problem is on Zone Labs end, they should
fix it ASAP, or lose the confidence of some end users who have purchased their products.
I was doing a trial of Zone Alarm Pro, and could not update definitions for spyware, or
access any of the online help. So, I uninstalled their product, at least for now, and
went back to the free version of E Trust EZ Armor Suite (Firewall, Pest Patrol, AV, Spam
Blocker), offered to Road Runner subscribers.

They were apparently doing site maintenance, I read this in another NG.

Still down, http://209.87.209.44/ doesn't even work. Using CA from
RoadRunner also, while trying to renew subscription.

Laters,

Oddly the CA firewall (E Trust EZ Firewall in the ETrust EZ Armor Suite RR Free version )
is a carbon copy of the Zone Alarm Firewall. The GUI and options seem almost exactly the
same. I wonder if CA licenses Zone Alarm Firewall Standard from Zone Labs.

I've had absolutely no trouble getting to that site, either by using a
URL or an IP address. Contact you ISP to see if they're experiencing
some sort of DNS problems.

Re: Is Zone Labs site down?

Sheesh, Gord & Bruce can get there, but nothing I do works.
Contacted ISP (RoadRunner), not having any problems.
Can't even ping .com or IP addies.
Will keep plugging away, really appreciate the responses.

Merry Christmas,
Dick Lewis

Re: Is Zone Labs site down?

One thing that rootkits, worms, virus, & spyware do is to disable access to
updates from your protection software. I would try another computer on your
internet connection. I would also look at the hosts file and see if it is
rerouted to the bit-bucket.
