Windows Messenger

Hello,

I never use Windows messenger. Is there a way to keep it from
loading on my desktop ? I have disabled in control panel, but it keeps
popping up. Thanks

Joe

See http://kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_messenger.htm. For Messenger/Outlook
Express tweaks, see http://kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_oe.htm.

In the tray application (icon for) messenger. Double click to start it.
If you have a hotmail account, use it's sign in. If not choose tools|
settings, and on the third tab of the box you can control startup.
Remove checks in the first 2 options. OK out of box. Close application.
From there you will be able to remove the application from add/remove,
windows components. Look in the list for windows messenger. Remove check
.. Ok out and wait for the completion of removal then close add/remove
and control panel.
